Märchen (little stories) and Sagen (legends) are German terms that describe the two main groups of traditional oral storytelling.
Storytelling is a means for sharing experiences. Stories have been used for centuries to bridge cultural, linguistic and age-related divides and as a tool to transfer knowledge in a social context. At MerkenSaagen, we seek to carry on this age-old tradition in a way that highlights our humanity and the inextricable connection we share with one another.
